About Us / Ms. Leslie

Ms. Leslie, Educational Director

Motivating and encouraging students to become innovative and independent thinkers is a deep passion of mine. From an early age, I have been surrounded with a wide array of childcare practices and I only bring the best of those experiences to the table every day. My passion to bring out the best in students is what motivates me to be the best I can be for my students.

I received my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Long Island University: Post Campus. My undergraduate work was done at The City University of New York, Queens College Campus in Comparative Literature and Biology. The thing I love most about OKP is its nurturing and home feel. The family oriented connection we have with our parents, students, and staff is what allows us to thrive. With every day that passes, I try to implement new strategies that will enhance the lives of our students and make them better leaders and thinkers.

A quote from George Santayana is most befitting in describing how I live my life “The wisest mind has something yet to learn.” I always go into work open minded and well aware that I don’t know everything and that a student may teach me something new and exciting.

Interesting Fact: I Love the Whitney Museum of American Art and I am a Lifeguard.
